It appears that a farm boy accidentally overturned his load of corn from his wagon. Nearby, a farmer heard the commotion. “Hey Wilmer!” the farmer shouted. “Forget your worries. Come in and have something to eat with us. After that, I’ll lend a hand to get the wagon back up.”
“That’s very kind of you,” Wilmer replied. “But I don’t think my Pa would approve.”
“Aw, come on,” the farmer urged.
“Alright then,” the boy said at last, adding, “But Pa definitely won’t like it.”
After enjoying a filling dinner, Wilmer expressed his gratitude to his host. “I feel much better now, but I know my Pa is going to be quite angry.”
“Don’t be silly!” the neighbor replied with a grin. “By the way, where is your Pa?”
Wilmer answered, “Under the wagon.”
