The dream of playing in the NFL for New England Patriots practice squad running back Eric Kettani has hit a roadblock due to the US Navy’s call for him to return to active duty.
Kettani is set to go back to the USS Klakring frigate located in Jacksonville, Florida.
“I’m proud to serve my country, and I embrace this opportunity,” Kettani remarked.
Having already completed two years of active duty, Kettani was granted select reserve status, allowing him to attend training camp in July, provided that he participated in navy promotional activities.
In spite of his commitment to serve, he has decided to appeal for the chance to remain with the team.
“I am eager to pursue my dream of playing for the New England Patriots,” Kettani shared.
