Soccer star breaks leg…whilst playing golf

In a freak accident while playing golf, Swansea City defender Alan Tate has unfortunately broken his left leg.

On Sunday afternoon, Tate was a passenger in a buggy at a golf club in south Wales when the driver lost control.

After being taken to Morriston Hospital by ambulance, the former Manchester United trainee, who is 28 years old, was diagnosed with a broken tibia in his left leg.

Currently in his 10th season with the Swans, Tate has played over 300 games for the club and was on the bench for Saturday’s goalless draw against Sunderland.

Buford Balony says: Does this prove Golf is tougher than soccer?
