FABIO CAPELLO is prepared to give Wayne Rooney a stern talking to.
Last weekend, the England striker was photographed smoking and urinating in public after a night out.
Furious with the situation, Capello plans to address the Manchester United star when they gather with the squad on Monday.
Two days later, England will compete against Hungary in a friendly at Wembley. An insider from the FA commented: “Fabio was extremely disappointed to see those images of Rooney stumbling out of a nightclub at 5:30 am.
“To see arguably the biggest star of England urinating and smoking in public is simply unacceptable, and Rooney will be made aware of this.
“He needs to understand that those pictures have been broadcast around the world, projecting a horrendous image of English football.
“And the timing couldn’t be worse, especially following a disappointing World Cup where Rooney was far from his best.”
It appears that the only way for Rooney to brighten up his England career is with a zippo.
Tonight, Capello is set to announce his first squad since England’s disappointing performance and is expected to appoint Joe Hart from Manchester City as his primary goalkeeper.
