Prank played on City star…involving rotten fish

During a tour in the US, bad-boy striker Mario Balotelli became the target of a rotten prank by his Manchester City soccer teammates, who left a stinking fish in his luxury car.

Upon returning from the Barclay’s Premier League team’s tour last week, the eccentric striker detected a fishy odor around his $225,000 white Maserati sports car.

When he opened the passenger door, he discovered a sportsbag stuffed with kippers behind the seat.

Having been inside the car for more than two weeks, the bag’s contents caused such a foul smell that the car might now qualify for an insurance write-off due to the fishy odor saturating the upholstery.

“When Mario realized he was the butt of a training ground prank, he had his head in his hands,” a source revealed.

“The stench was nearly enough to make him vomit. It was disgusting. Flies were swarming in the car, and the leather seats in the back were covered in decomposing fish.”

The source continued, “He truly has no clue who did this, especially considering how often he has played pranks on his teammates over the past year.”

“However, this will not stop the pranks. He’s already crafting revenge plans.”

This is not the first trouble the 20-year-old has faced regarding his vehicle. The former Inter Milan player amassed $15,000 in parking fines and saw his car impounded 27 times in under a year.

Last year, Balotelli clashed with midfielder Yaya Toure about training ground pranks, but it seems the situation is shifting.

His teammates and coach Roberto Mancini were displeased with him after he squandered a scoring chance with a failed trick shot against the Los Angeles Galaxy.

In an interview with a TV station back in his homeland, the Italian admitted he has been unhappy living in Manchester.

Within the last week, his socks were cut, and hot Tabasco sauce was added to his meals.
