With almost a year remaining until Kelly Racing introduces the first non-Holden or Ford V8 Supercar, team co-owner Rick Kelly has traveled to the New York Motor Show to evaluate the new Nissan Altima, which the team plans to race in 2013.
Although the Altima will not be available for sale in Australia until late 2013, KR will utilize a shell of the vehicle over the new Car of the Future chassis.
Kelly expressed his enthusiasm for the appearance of the new Nissan model, eagerly anticipating the Altima’s debut.
“It’s hugely exciting to be here in New York for the unveiling of the new Nissan Altima,” remarked Rick Kelly.
“Confirming Altima as the model we will race from 2013 marks the next step as we prepare for the upcoming season.
“The Altima looks fantastic in person. We can’t wait to take our first Nissan Altima V8 Supercar on track for testing later this year because it’s going to appear sensational as a race car.”
