Greg Inglis joins The Rabbitohs

Greg Inlis has signed a three year deal with South Sydney.

The club released a statement confirming speculation the Australian and Queensland centre was poised to join the Rabbitohs, after reneging on a deal to join Brisbane.

“I’m really happy to be joining the South Sydney Rabbitohs,” Inglis said.

“The past few months have been like a rollercoaster ride but now I can look forward to getting back into training and preparing for the new season.

“This is an exciting time and I’m looking forward to pulling on the red and green jersey for the first time next year.”

Rabbitohs chief executive Shane Richardson added: “We’re looking forward to having Greg as part of our club for the next three seasons and we welcome him to the Rabbitohs family.”

Inglis was still officially under contract with Melbourne Storm for the next two years and needed a formal release to play for another club.
