According to Australian fast bowler Peter Siddle, the intense rivalry among the team’s fast bowlers for the upcoming Test series against South Africa is positive for the nation’s cricket.
Siddle, along with Mitchell Johnson, Trent Copeland, Ryan Harris, and Pat Cummins, will compete for three available spots in the first match, which is set to commence in Cape Town next week.
“It’s exciting due to the competition. It’s challenging for all of us, but ultimately, it benefits Australia,” Siddle reportedly stated.
“I believe it’s beneficial that we are all fit and ready, applying pressure on one another, which enhances us as individuals,” he continued.
