Claims of a man entering a woman’s yard and stealing panties from her clothesline are being investigated by campus police at New Mexico State University.
The woman reported to officers that on Saturday evening, she had hung several pairs of colored underwear, two bras, and some shirts belonging to her son on the clothesline. However, when she checked on Sunday morning, she discovered that her gate had been left open and nine pairs of panties, valued at approximately $60, were missing.
Police have yet to identify any suspects in the case.
This incident follows a similar situation from a year ago, when five members of an NMSU sorority reported to police that one of their own had been stealing Victoria’s Secret underwear and bras, accumulating hundreds of dollars in stolen items.
Ultimately, all the stolen items, with the exception of one bra, were recovered.
