World War one vet turns 110

Britain’s oldest World War One veteran celebrated her 110th birthday last month.

Florence Green joined the Womens Royal Air Force in September 1918. She was just 17.

During the Great War, Florence worked at Narborough Airfield and RAF Marham in Norfolk as an officers’ mess steward.

Her 89 year old daughter, May, who acts as her fgull time carer at home in Norfolk said, “Her health is amazing really.
