Last month, the oldest World War One veteran in Britain celebrated her 110th birthday.
At the age of just 17, Florence Green enlisted in the Women’s Royal Air Force in September 1918.
During the Great War, she served as an officers’ mess steward at Narborough Airfield and RAF Marham, both located in Norfolk.
May, her 89-year-old daughter and full-time caregiver at their home in Norfolk, remarked, “Her health is amazing really.”
