Over 100 thrill-seekers rode a rollercoaster in the nude, shattering the world record.
The 102 naked adrenaline enthusiasts showcased their bravery as they tackled the twists and turns of the amusement ride, raising £22,000 for breast cancer research.
The event occurred on the Green Scream Rollercoaster located in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, surpassing the previous record by 70 participants.
Tracy Jones, the organizer, stated: “Our aim was to generate as much funding as possible for this amazing charity and provide an opportunity for everyone who had the courage to participate in the world record. As a result, we needed to run the Naked Rollercoaster three times.”
In 2004, to celebrate 50 years of Guinness World Records, 32 individuals rode the Nemesis at Alton Towers in Staffordshire, surpassing the former record of 28 set by Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park in Surrey.
This ultimate adventure took place at Adventure Island on Southend seafront, collecting donations for the Bosom Pals Appeal of the Southend Hospital Charitable Foundation.
Barbara Warner, Senior Fundraising Manager for Bosom Pals, remarked: “It truly takes a lot of courage to strip down in front of 102 complete strangers, along with the world’s media – so we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone brave enough to bare it all and contribute such a significant amount over £22,000 for our crucial cause.”
