At a zoo in Serbia, a newborn white lion cub has been exciting visitors.
The young female, yet to be named, has already won the affection of guests at Belgrade’s ‘good hope garden’ zoo.
Weighing in at 2.8lbs, she was born just over a week ago to proud parents Masha and Wambo. The animal park in Serbia’s capital now houses 11 white lions.
Success in increasing their numbers in captivity is essential, as these carnivores no longer exist in the wild.
However, not all news is positive, as a newborn male white lion unfortunately did not survive after his recent birth.
