This week in Glastonbury, England, a woman dressed as a vagina startled residents when she intervened in a street altercation involving a man dressed as a penis.
The pair wore their distinctive costumes to advertise their ‘Fooling Around’ stage show at the Assembly Rooms venue in the Somerset town.
However, things escalated when one local resident reportedly took offense and began assaulting the man in the giant phallus costume.
Chris Murray, from the Nomadic Academy of Fools, recounted, “He started shouting at me, claiming it was disgusting and that children might see us.”
Murray added, “His body language indicated his intense anger. I attempted to diffuse the situation; I wasn’t interested in a fight, but he seized my hat, ripped it off, and threw it onto the pavement.”
Eventually, a resident contacted the police, who cautioned the duo that they risked arrest if they did not remove their costumes.
A representative for the Assembly Rooms expressed, “We were truly taken aback by the police’s response during this incident.
“The performances received great attendance, and we faced no issues at the venue.”
