A foot fetish isn’t illegal, but police in Conway, Arkansas, are on the lookout for a man with a penchant for toe-sucking whom they allege has crossed the line into assault.
In the past week, authorities have received two reports regarding a man seemingly eager to suck women’s toes, regardless of their consent.
“We want him off the streets,” remarked LaTresha Woodruff, spokesperson for the Conway police. Last Saturday, 83-year-old Ruth Harris recounted to the police that while she was seated outside her apartment, a man came up to her and expressed admiration for her feet. According to a police report, the man removed one of her shoes and began sucking on her toe.
“The man then asked if he could kiss her, and she refused, telling him he was crazy,” the report indicated. The man quickly departed after others entered the courtyard of the apartment complex. On Tuesday, another woman alerted police, stating that she was shopping on Saturday when she caught a man staring at her. He then confessed to having a foot fetish, commenting on how “long and succulent” her toes appeared and expressing a desire to suck them. When her cell phone rang, the man withdrew. She described to police that the man had “messed up toes.” This isn’t the first incident of this nature reported in Conway.
Back in the 1990s, a man known as the “Toe Suck Fairy” drew attention in Arkansas for his foot-related antics in Conway and Little Rock. That offender, Michael Robert Wyatt, posed as a podiatrist to fondle and suck a woman’s toes inside a clothing store in Conway. He faced probation, a monetary fine, and was mandated to undergo therapy, but his probation was later revoked after his arrest for similar offenses in another town.
In 1991, he was convicted for threatening a convenience store clerk, declaring he wished to sever her feet and suck her toes while she bled out. Wyatt received a four-year sentence in state prison, serving just over a year, according to Conway police. Now, nearly twenty years later, authorities have not dismissed the possibility that the current toe-sucker may be the same individual.
