This year’s World Testicle & Aphrodisiac Cooking Championships will see the best testicle cooks in the world dedicating their prize-winning dishes to Kate Middleton and Prince William.
According to Chef Ljubomir Erovic, the event’s organiser, testicles are abundant in testosterone and minerals and are regarded as a potent aphrodisiac in Serbia, his home country.
Erovic is of the opinion that if the royal couple were to sample some of the dishes presented, they might improve their chances of conceiving a child – a thoughtful gesture indeed.
At the championships, a variety of delicacies will be available, featuring bull, boar, camel, ostrich, and even kangaroo testicles.
With two decades of experience in preparing, cooking, and enjoying a wide assortment of testicles, the self-taught chef has already authored the world’s first recipe collection of its kind, titled Cooking With Balls. This book includes instructions on making testicle pizzas, battered testicles, and barbecued testicles with giblets.
The book emphasizes the necessity of having a ‘very sharp knife’ for those interested in traditional testicle cooking methods, along with the recommendation to wash the balls and soak them in water prior to cooking to achieve a softer texture.
You may find it reassuring to know that Erovic advises: ‘All testicles can be eaten – except human, of course.’
