A YOUNG man from Valencia died from a cardiac arrest whilst attempting to rape his ex-girlfriend, police heard last weekend.
They were in the deceased’s car, which was parked in Pinedo (Valencia) at the time, and his former partner opted to drive him to the hospital when he became indisposed, despite not yet having passed her test.
She told National Police officers, who were called out to Valencia General Hospital, that the patient had tried to convince her to have sex with him.
When she refused, he pinned her down in the car and began to rape her.
But during his attack on her, he stopped breathing and appeared to be in great pain, she said.
Even though the girl did not have a driving licence, she decided it was quicker to take him to hospital herself than call an ambulance.
However, he was pronounced dead on arrival as a result of a cardiac arrest, the causes of which are under investigation by forensics.
