PayPal pays man $92 quadrillion accidentally

$92 quadrillion, which translates to 92 followed by 15 zeros, equates to 92,000,000,000,000,000. That’s a substantial sum!

A lot of money

When PayPal mistakenly credited a man from Pennsylvania with $92,000,000,000,000,000, one can only imagine the reactions from both him and the company.

With such an amount, he would have outstripped the combined fortunes of Bill Gates, Michael Bloomberg, and Larry Page. He could have feasibly purchased everything in existence and lived comfortably off the interest for life.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be; what PayPal gives, it can also take away. Moments later, the glitch was rectified, and Christopher Reynolds returned to his humble role as a PR executive.

Mr. Reynolds remarked, ‘It’s a curious thing; I don’t know, maybe someone was having fun.’

PayPal acknowledged: ‘This is clearly an error, and we are grateful that Mr. Reynolds recognized this fact.’

Well, better luck next time, Christopher.
