Round, pointed pastries known as titties are being sold by a German bakery chain.
Located in Friedberg, near Frankfurt, the shop has posters featuring a pin-up girl promoting them at a price of 36 cents each.
On one particular day, the shop managed to sell over 13,000 titties.
However, Margot Bernd, the city’s women’s representative, reported that several women reached out to express their “anger and outrage” regarding the pastries’ name.
Additionally, Rolf Gnadl, the head of the local district authority, has also requested a renaming of the titties.
Nonetheless, Kai Steinhauer, a junior manager of the store chain, insists that titties will remain on the menu.
He shared with the Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper: “The name was actually suggested by one of our female employees when we were developing this pastry and baking it for the first time.”
