A German bakery chain is selling round, pointed pastries called titties.
The shop in Friedberg, near Frankfurt, has posters of a pin-up girl advertising them at 36c each.
In one day alone it sold over 13,000 titties.
But the city’s women’s representative, Margot Bernd, said a number of women called her to vent their “anger and outrage” at the offer.
The head of the local district authority, Rolf Gnadl, has also called for titties to be renamed.
But Kai Steinhauer, junior manager of the store chain, says titties are here to stay.
He told the Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper: “When we were coming up with this pastry and first baked it, one of our female employees suggested the name.”
