Parrot may have seen a cock-or-two

A man residing in northern England grew extremely suspicious when his pet parrot, Ziggy, began squawking “Hiya Gary” each time his girlfriend, Suzy Collins, received a call on her mobile. Chris Taylor from Leeds was unaware of anyone named Gary, and his girlfriend insisted she didn’t know anyone by that name either. However, feelings of suspicion deepened when the eight-year-old parrot started making kissing sounds at the mere mention of the name Gary on television. It seemed his devoted pet was trying to convey a message.

One evening, while Gary was cuddling his girlfriend, a clear warning came through when his parrot softly said, “I love you Gary,” mimicking his girlfriend’s voice perfectly.

“It sent a chill down my spine,” Chris recounted. “I began to laugh, but when I looked at Suzy, I could see something was off. Her face turned beet red, and she began to cry.”

Chris confronted Suzy, 25, who had been his live-in girlfriend for two years. She revealed to him, “I’ve got another man… named Gary.”

You can imagine the shock.

Not only had she been cheating on Mr. Taylor for the past four months, but she had also done so in the presence of his cherished pet. “It makes my stomach turn to think about what he might have witnessed,” he expressed.

When asked if he had seen explicit romantic scenes, Ziggy cheekily replied, “Oh sure! In fact, one time I even saw a Cockatoo – or was it three?”

Despite being a more loyal companion to Chris than his own girlfriend, poor Ziggy received no gratitude for his efforts. Instead, Mr. Taylor ultimately decided to give Ziggy away, as the constant reminder of Gary proved too tormenting.

As for Suzy, her relationship with Gary has since ended, and she now harbors a dislike for the parrot, stating, “I couldn’t stand Ziggy, and it appears the feeling was mutual.”
