A furious motorist hired four men to smash up his luxury Maserati Quattroporte with sledgehammers outside a car show in protest at the company’s poor customer service.
The owner, identified only by his surname Wang, saw his $400,000 car turned into an insurance write-off outside the international Auto Show at Qingdao International Convention Centre in China.
A crowd of about 100 people gathered to watch as the men smashed the bodywork. It was draped in a banner accusing the Italian manufacturer of poor decision-making.
