In Lewis County Superior Court, a man accused of engaging in sexual acts with his two dogs acknowledged that he would be found guilty of animal cruelty.
Troy Whitson, a 21-year-old from Cinebar, USA, received a sentence of 30 days in jail along with a deviancy evaluation. He is prohibited from owning animals for a period of two years.
Whitson’s malamutes have been rehomed.
According to prosecutor Michael Golden, Whitson is affiliated with a group known as the Furries, who identify with animals and don corresponding makeup, ears, and tails.
Golden noted that while Furries congregate for social gatherings, sexual acts with animals are not typical of their behavior. He also mentioned that two other Furries, who witnessed the incident involving Whitson, reported him.
