A recent poll reveals that the legendary Aston Martin DB5 is the top star car for blokes, as associated with James Bond.
Driven by Sean Connery in the films Goldfinger and Thunderball, the 1964 silver coupé garnered 16.5% of the votes, surpassing The Italian Job’s Mini Cooper and Back To The Future’s DeLorean.
This recognition arrives just as the DB5 is anticipated to sell for $5 million at an auction taking place in London this month.
The model, featuring a 4.0 litre, 282bhp engine and equipped with pop-out machine guns, tyre shredders, an ejector seat, and a bullet-proof screen, is being sold by Jerry Lee, a US radio executive. He originally purchased it in 1969 for $12,000.
