Boiling mad at her latest court appearance, the so-called “Hot Dog Hooker” faced arrest once more for alleged prostitution.
Catherine Scalia, aged 47, acquired her nickname after being arrested in 2012 for allegedly offering more than just hot dogs from her food truck in Long Island, New York. During her arraignment, Scalia expressed her outrage towards the police for targeting her.
“They keep framing me!” she declared to Judge Colin O’Donnell. “There was no money exchanged! I did it for free. I’m broke, I’m jobless.”
A bail of $10,000 was established for Scalia.
According to allegations, she “drove her vending truck to a hotel in East Garden City on Friday where she offered to engage in a sexual act with an undercover officer.”
The specific amount of money allegedly agreed upon has not been revealed.
Last May, Scalia was arrested and pleaded guilty to charges of prostitution. Nonetheless, she maintained that she had only been stripping for men while also selling hot dogs.
“To the mothers and children out there, I will be selling the hot dogs in my bikini,” Scalia remarked during her 2012 arrest. “To all the guys, I’m gonna wiggle those weiners, we’re gonna have a good time.”
