Ghost haunts fish in a lake

A COUPLE were left in disbelief after they captured a photograph of a waterfall that revealed a chilling apparition resembling an evil horseman from the Lord of the Rings.

While on a walking holiday in the Yorkshire Dales, Stephen and Sue Barringer, aged 55 and 51, took a picture of a stunning waterfall.

However, upon reviewing a slideshow of their images later, they were shocked to notice a dark, cloaked figure staring back at them.

It appeared that the cascading water had formed the eerie silhouette of a ghastly man — strikingly similar to one of the nine Ringwraiths, or Nazgul, from the Lord of the Rings.

Sue, a mother of three from Ramsey, near Huntingdon, Cambs, remarked: “At the waterfall, we didn’t see anything unusual; we even enjoyed a cup of coffee while sitting there.

“But when we returned home and noticed the dark figure of a hooded man, we were completely astonished.

“There were no rocks in that area, so we believe the shape must have been entirely created by the falling water.

“The figure definitely jumps out at you and feels very eerie. Although I’m convinced it isn’t a ghost or anything like that, it does have a rather supernatural vibe.”

On August 12, lorry driver Steve and teaching assistant Sue captured the image near the Ingleton waterfalls in the Yorkshire Dales.

The following week, while watching the slideshow of their holiday photographs on their computer, they made the startling discovery of the Nazgul.

The Nazguls are nine men who fell victim to the dark lord Sauron’s power and were granted a form of near-immortality.
