After suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the backyard of his residence, Russell Little was declared dead at Memorial Hospital.
According to his wife, Little was in the backyard, feeling depressed and consuming moonshine when he took a handgun and started playing Russian roulette with the family dog around 9 p.m. “After a few empty clicks aimed at the dog’s head, she said he got tired of that, then put the gun to his own head and pulled the trigger,” stated Capt. Jim Andrews of the South Bend Police.
