Some bishops from the Church of England have received an invitation from Pope Benedict to convert to Catholicism.
Five of these bishops have decided to accept the invitation.
Andrew Burnham, Keith Newton, John Broadhurst, Edwin Barnes, and David Silk are moving forward with their full communion into the Catholic Church.
Last year, the Vatican implemented a policy to simplify the process for traditional Anglicans wishing to join the Catholic Church.
It seems this decision wasn’t influenced by the fact that the Catholic Mitre is considered more fashionable than the Church of England hat.
