At this year’s Gumball 3000 rally, the Dark Knight is poised to take the spotlight, as one race team has unveiled a precise replica of Batman’s iconic Tumbler car.
The sleek jet black supercar, driven by Batman in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy, will distinguish Team Galag, an international racing crew, from the other participants.
Reportedly investing over $1.5 million to craft the stunning Batmobile racer, the team commissioned Parker Brothers Concepts, based in Florida.
With an impressive 400hp 6.2-liter V8 engine, this 2.5-tonne vehicle, resembling a hybrid of a Lamborghini and a tank, can achieve speeds exceeding 100mph.
Before heading to the Gumball starting line in Copenhagen on May 18, this tank-like vehicle will be displayed in London later this month.
