Will Turnbull pay attention to Indigenous issues?

warren-mundinePrime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, has been in conversation with Indigenous Advisory Chairman, Warren Mundine.

Turnbull has purportedly committed to working with Mundine on Indigenous issues.

Warren Mundine was very angry and upset when he wasn’t consulted before calling a Royal Commission into the abuse in the Northern Territory detention centres,

Mundine has been pushing the government to pay more attention to the domestic violence that occurs within Indigenous communities.

Mr Turnbull and Mr Mundine met last week, and they have had a ‘good chat’, and will work together to try to resolve the issues that sometimes plague Indigenous communites – we’ll see if it is all talk, or will action really happen.
