Residents of Cardwell in North Queensland have found themselves on alert for UFOs due to sightings of… Unidentified Flying Objects (unusual lights illuminating the night sky).
According to Greg Smith, a local businessman, he and his son observed these lights for a duration of 15 minutes, leading them to believe they witnessed some form of UFO.
“Several months back, I used to be a staunch sceptic regarding these phenomena. However, this experience truly unsettled both me and my son,” he remarked.
Mr. Smith noted that they viewed the lights from the front of the Lyndoch Hotel, located on the highway toward the town’s northern end.
“There were two significant orange lights. There was no sound and no beam visible. It was completely silent, and they moved slowly towards the north-west. We were unsure if the lights belonged to one or two craft. Initially, we assumed they were above buildings situated between the highway and the beach, but other viewers claimed they were simply over the water,” he added.
Initially considering the possibility of helicopters, Mr. Smith quickly dismissed it, noting the complete lack of noise.
Another local, Phil Mulley, alongside his wife Helen, witnessed the lights on two consecutive evenings.
“We believed a helicopter was navigating the channel. We observed it for several minutes before it vanished into the clouds. The following night, my sister called, prompting me to look outside. I stepped out and saw two lights. We observed them for a while until they too disappeared into the clouds,” he relayed.
