A NURSE favors pets that bite rather than bark — the reason she has three CROCODILES in her bungalow.
For over 30 years, Vicki Lowing, 53, has cared for crocodiles and states that her reptiles have become completely domesticated.
She also asserts that she possesses the ability to communicate telepathically with her 14-year-old croc, Johnie, a 5ft freshwater female weighing 12kg.
At just three years old, Jilfia, a saltwater crocodile, measures 8ft and weighs 30kg, already comparable to the size of a ten-year-old child.
Meanwhile, the tiny freshwater croc Fovian, who is only 1.5ft long, resides in the bathtub.
Although Johnie bit her a decade ago, Vicki has not sustained any serious injuries from these well-known predators.
However, Vicki acknowledges the importance of keeping her distance from Jilfia, the saltwater croc, as she has a more aggressive temperament compared to the others.
Regardless, Vicki, from Melbourne, Australia, still takes all of them for outings whenever they require exercise.
The neighbors maintain their distance, and it’s no surprise that trespassers or burglars have never been an issue.
She commented: “I’m convinced crocs are psychic. Although they seem inactive, there’s a lot happening behind those eyes.
“Johnie definitely possesses psychic abilities. Sometimes, the way she gazes at me, I can tell she’s trying to convey something.”
“She has certainly communicated with me telepathically. This usually occurs when she feels unwell and needs me to know she requires extra TLC.”
All of Vicki’s crocs are free to roam within her bungalow.
However, she must keep them apart. If they come too close to one another, these territorial creatures could inflict serious injuries on each other.
Vicki remarked: “My son Andrew just has to accept the situation. The crocs don’t really disturb him, but they definitely unsettle his friends and girlfriends.
“The most recent girlfriend dashed away as soon as she laid eyes on Johnie, which was rather unfortunate.”
