During a report about Syria’s president Bashar al-Assad, a pornographic film unexpectedly appeared on a studio screen in the background.
This occurrence happened on a 24-hour Swedish news channel while the presenter was engaged in an interview with the station’s correspondent in Moscow.
As the journalists were covering Russia’s backing of the Syrian government, a pornographic movie started playing on one of the screens located behind the anchor.
“I initially spotted a naked woman, and it soon became apparent that she was engaged in sexual activity,” a viewer commented.
The explicit film, albeit blurry, was noticeable behind the presenter for approximately 10 minutes during the show.
News editor Andreas Haglind verified that the adult film was indeed broadcast live but asserted that this did not imply that any staff member was actively viewing pornography.
He indicated that the screen was probably linked to a computer server located elsewhere in the studio that was connected to other channels.
