Resembling a Hollywood special effect, Victor Joseph Espinoza seems like an attempt to morph Al Pacino into Marlon Brando.
However, he is indeed a real person, facing accusations of attempting to kidnap a 10-year-old boy en route to soccer practice.
Weighing nearly 200kg, Espinoza was caught by police in Santa Ana, California, while trying to climb over a backyard fence following what authorities describe as a failed kidnapping attempt.
Reports indicate that Espinoza allegedly targeted the boy while he and his 19-year-old cousin walked to the park.
According to police, he drew the boy close enough to grasp both of his arms and pull him in.
After a brief struggle, the boy along with his cousin managed to escape and notify his soccer coach, who attempted to tackle and restrain Espinoza, but he managed to flee.
Later, a police helicopter located Espinoza hiding in the backyard of a nearby residence.
He is now held on suspicion of false imprisonment, child annoyance, and additional charges.
