After a two-and-a-half-year investigation, multiple rape charges have been filed against a man from Melbourne.
John Szabo, aged 36 and residing in Mooroolbark, is facing four counts of rape along with two counts of abduction for sexual penetration purposes.
On Tuesday night, he attended a hearing outside of the usual court sessions and has been remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The allegations are connected to events that took place in Croydon on July 9 of this year and in Clayton on February 8, 2011.
