A man from Queensland, who shared videos of himself riding an emu and incorporating a live calf and a dead pig into his workout routine, may face charges for animal cruelty.
“In Australia, many overseas individuals mistakenly believe we ride kangaroos to our jobs, but the truth is we ride emus,” he states in the video.
Identified as Jack Mcmillan on his Facebook profile, the man then rides “Betsy” the emu, shouting, “righto girl let’s go, off to work we go!”
According to Biosecurity Queensland, the footage was received from the RSPCA and is currently under review to decide the best course of action under the Animal Care and Protection Act 2001.
Later, Mr. Mcmillan took to Facebook to defend his behavior, claiming he had rescued the emu.
