In Sydney Harbour, the sighting of two whales brought joy to the morning commuters.
Thought to be humpback whales, the mother and her calf were observed playing in the water yesterday morning around 6am.
For approximately two hours, they swam around and even passed beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
These mother and baby humpback whales are part of the anticipated 13,000 whales expected to migrate south along Australia’s east coast this year.
