In just three years, China is poised to surpass Australia as a wine producer.
This superpower is projected to rise from being the tenth largest wine producer to the sixth by 2014.
Such growth is astonishing at 77%.
According to Vinexpo, the exhibition organizer for wine, production is anticipated to increase from 72 million cases in 2009 to 128 million by 2014.
As reported by International Wine and Spirits Research, the Chinese consume 1.34 billion bottles every year.
