Carrie Fisher dead at 60

Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher, died of a heart attack on a flight from London to LA.

Her heart just packed up. Carrie Fisher struggled after with alcoholism, substance abuse and depression. She was aged 60.

Daughter of Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher was the star of over 40 movies, including Shampoo and The Blue Brothers.

She was also an author, writing ‘The Best Awful There Is’ and ‘Wishful Drinking’.

In her 2016 autobiography, ‘The Princess Diarist’, she talks about her relationship with Paul Simon and Dan Ackroyd – and she also revealed the affair she’d had with Harrison Ford in 1976.

On a talk show in the UK in September of this year, Carrie Fisher said when she was writing The Princess Diarist, she sent a copy to Harrison Ford to get his blessing. Apparently Ford joked, ‘I’ll send the lawyers round’.

But I’m sort of glad that Princess Leia had an affair with Harrison Ford. The electricity between the two was fantastic on the screen. I suppose now, when you watch Star Wars again (because you all will) it becomes more real.

Your outfits will be worn even-more-so from now on. But you will be remembered, not only for the outfits.

Carrie Fisher – icon of the big screen, yes because of Star Wars, but nevertheless an icon.
