Australia 36 – 20 England in Four Nations

Australia are through to the final of Rugby League’s Four Nations after an impressive win against England at Wembley.

England took an early lead when Ryan Hall went over with the first try of the game.

Australia hit back almost immediately with tries from Luke Lewis and Tony Williams to move in front but England only trailed by four points at the break when Hall went over with his second try of the game.

Early in the second half, Australia took charge. Greg Inglis and Paul Gallen both went over to give them a 24-8 lead.

A converted try by Jack Reed cut the gap back to 10 points but Darius Boyd all but ended hopes of a late England comeback with a try with 8 minutes to go.

England though showed plenty of spirit and Chris Heighington went over with their fourth try of the game but Australia had the last word with a Chris Lawrence try.
