No, seriously, an emu does walk into a bar…and then he leaves a mess on the carpet.
This impolite bird made its entrance into Denham’s Shark Bay Hotel in Western Australia, drawing the attention of the patrons.
However, he managed to dart away just before Administration Manager Ben Jones arrived.
“I rushed out of the office to see what was happening, but it was already too late,” Jones explained.
“I mean, at least have the courtesy to inquire about the location of the toilets!”
Fortunately, the event was recorded on CCTV, but the only trace left by the emu was his disrespectful mess – and it required three people to tidy up before dinner service commenced.
Well, we Australians don’t like to be outdone by the usual “comedian walks into a bar” joke, do we?
