A restraining order has been granted to Jennifer Aniston by a court commissioner against a man whom authorities claim traveled across the country in an attempt to meet the actress.
On Monday, Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner David A. Cowan issued an order for Jason R Peyton to keep his distance from the actress and to avoid any form of contact with her for a period of three years.
The actress initially secured a temporary restraining order against Peyton on July 20 after he was detained by the police. Currently, he is undergoing a month-long psychiatric hold.
According to court documents, police stepped in after Peyton repeatedly appeared at various Los Angeles locations searching for the star of Friends.
The documents indicate that Peyton was discovered in possession of duct tape, a sharp object, and love letters directed to Aniston. He has yet to face arrest or charges related to this incident.
