Wyclef Jean is a man who is clearly in shape for his age…and boy…does he know it.
The Fugees star, who turned 43 and celebrated his middle-age milestone in a rather brazen fashion.
The singer posted a picture of himself on Twitter, seemingly slathered in baby oil and straddling his Ducati motorcycle, wearing just a pair of briefs.
Displaying his muscular physique, Jean was quick to point out how great he looks.
In an accompanying caption he wrote: ‘TODAY I AM 43 YEARS OLD! I look And feel 26! U cant keep ‡ good Man down! Keep ‡ smile when they want you to frown!’
The buff star wore a pair of tiny red and blue briefs for the revealing shot.
The skimpy underwear meticulously matched his Americana-style bike, a red, white and blue vehicle adorned with stars.
Since ending his stint with The Fugees in 1997, Jean has embarked on a solo career.
His most recent upcoming self-entitled studio album was due to be released in 2011, but still yet to hit the shelves.
The singer also tried to run for President of his native Haiti in 2010 but did not win the election.
Recently, Jean made headlines when he claimed that his ex-lover and bandmate Lauryn Hill lied to him about the paternity of her son.
The hip-hop star had an affair with the singer during The Fugees’ heyday in the Nineties, and said one of the reasons they split was because Lauryn tricked him into believing her firstborn son was his.
In fact, the father was Bob Marley’s son Rohan.
In an extract from his book Purpose, he wrote: ‘In that moment something died between us.
‘I was married and Lauryn and I were having an affair, but she led me to believe that the baby was mine, and I couldn’t forgive that.
‘She could no longer be my muse. Our love spell was broken.’
Jean has previously hinted the romance was the catalyst for the group’s split in 1997.
However, Jean was quickly blasted by the boy’s true father Marley, who accused him of spreading ‘bullshit’ to make money.
Bob Marley’s son Rohan who was in a relationship with Hill from 1996 until 2004, said his rival ‘knew from jump that was my son from the day Lauryn was pregnant.’
The former college sports star admitted that Jean and Hill had a casual relationship before he came on the scene, but added he was sure it ended because it was the rapper who set them up.
He said: ‘They were definitely not messing around, or he would never have given me the okay.’
He also said he and Hill were together in studio sessions around the clock back then, so there wouldn’t be time for her to have the alleged affair.
Rohan, who ended up having five children with the singer before they split up, added that he thought the rapper was ‘just saying false things to get book headlines,’ and he had no plans to confront him because ‘he knows he is fronting himself.’
However, the Haitian songwriter, who is still married to his wife of 18 years Marie Claudinette, stood by his story.
He said: ‘There is no way that I would have shown up in the hospital in that circumstance to wait for a baby to be born if it was not mine.
