Clearly in shape for his age, Wyclef Jean is a man who certainly knows it.
The Fugees star recently turned 43 and celebrated this middle-age milestone with a rather bold display.
On Twitter, the singer shared a photo of himself, seemingly coated in baby oil, straddling his Ducati motorcycle while donning nothing but a pair of briefs.
Jean showcased his impressive physique and was quick to highlight how fantastic he looks.
Accompanying the picture, he captioned: ‘TODAY I AM 43 YEARS OLD! I look And feel 26! U cant keep ‡ good Man down! Keep ‡ smile when they want you to frown!’
The muscular star sported a pair of small red and blue briefs for the eye-catching shot.
This revealing underwear perfectly matched his Americana-themed motorcycle, a vibrant red, white, and blue bike decorated with stars.
After wrapping up with The Fugees in 1997, Jean has pursued a solo career.
His latest self-titled studio album, initially scheduled for release in 2011, has yet to be launched.
The singer also made an attempt to run for President of Haiti in 2010, but he lost the election.
Recently, he garnered attention by alleging that his former lover and bandmate Lauryn Hill deceived him regarding the paternity of her son.
During the peak of The Fugees in the Nineties, the hip-hop star had an affair with the singer and claimed one reason for their breakup was Hill’s deception about the paternity of her firstborn, leading him to believe the child was his.
The actual father turned out to be Bob Marley’s son, Rohan.
In a passage from his book, Purpose, he expressed: ‘In that moment something died between us.’
‘I was married, and while Lauryn and I were involved in an affair, she convinced me that the baby was mine, and I couldn’t get past that.’
‘She could no longer be my muse. Our love spell was broken.’
Jean had previously suggested that their romance contributed to the group’s disbandment in 1997.
However, he faced rapid backlash from Rohan Marley, who accused him of spreading ‘bullshit’ for profit.
Rohan, who was in a relationship with Hill from 1996 to 2004, stated that he ‘knew from jump that was my son from the day Lauryn was pregnant.’
The former collegiate athlete acknowledged that Jean and Hill had a brief relationship before he entered the picture but insisted it ended because Jean facilitated the arrangement.
He remarked: ‘They were definitely not involved; otherwise, he would never have given me the okay.’
Additionally, he noted that he and Hill spent countless hours in the studio during that time, leaving no opportunity for her alleged affair.
Rohan, who fathered five children with Hill before their split, mentioned that he felt Jean was ‘just saying false things to get book headlines,’ and had no desire to confront him because ‘he knows he is fronting himself.’
Nevertheless, the Haitian songwriter, who remains married to his wife of 18 years, Marie Claudinette, maintains his account.
He asserted: ‘There is no way I would have shown up in that hospital to wait for a baby to be born if it wasn’t mine.’
‘The purpose of a memoir is to reveal the truth. I understand that the truth can hurt, but a lie hurts even more.’
