Who cares if Pete Doherty steals from the French?

Pete Doherty has revealed that he is currently in talks with France’s national railway company, SNCF, over a missing, presumed stolen, trolley.

The trolley contained staff uniforms, cold meats and cutlery.

Writing on his blog, the former Libertines man said he was unable to take the train to go and see Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds tonight in Toulouse, France, because of the alleged incident.

He wrote, “the train is out of the question. I am currently in discussion with SNCF regarding my accountability for a missing trolley-load of staff uniforms (gaberdine wool mind you), cold meats, cutlery.”

He then asked fans if any of them could loan him a car, so he and his friend could drive to the gig from Paris, where Doherty currently lives.

Last month Pete Doherty cancelled a run of Scottish shows. He was due to be playing Inverness’ Ironworks venue, but the gig was cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

Doherty also cancelled his Glasgow gig. It was the second show in a row in Glasgow that the singer had cancelled and fans took to his official Facebook page to express their disappointment.
