Spiritualized new album has been delayed

The release of Spiritualized’s upcoming new album ‘Sweet Heart Sweet Light’ has been postponed.

Initially, the band announced that their seventh studio album, a follow-up to 2008’s ‘Songs In A&E’, would debut on March 19 this year. However, singer Jason Pierce disclosed that the album’s release will be delayed by several weeks.

Pierce also acknowledged that he had distributed unfinished versions of the album to reviewers, explaining: “I had the rather foolish idea last November that I could deliver the record that’s been sent out and keep working on the real version. I’d meet the delivery date they need for reviews and things like that, and nobody would be any the wiser that I’d be carrying on the mixing.”

When queried about his concerns regarding potential discrepancies between the two versions of the album, he responded: “With the reviews, sometimes it’s like they’ve got a different album anyway.”

The tracklisting for ‘Sweet Heart Sweet Light’ includes:
‘Hey Jane’, ‘Little Girl’, ‘Get What You Want’, ‘Too Late’, ‘Heading For The Top’, ‘Freedom’, ‘I Am What I Am’, ‘Mary’, ‘Life Is A Problem’, ‘So Long You Pretty Things’.
