On November 15, Robbie Williams will release his new album – ‘Swings Both Ways.’
This marks a significant departure for Robbie, as he steps away from the pop music style that is typically associated with him.
“I wanted to create a Swing album because it’s something I’ve always wished to do. I always had it in my mind that I’d produce another, and I feel that now is the ideal moment to make that happen. I’m really enjoying my life and the showbiz scene, and I’ve come to understand that every time I release a record, it should be a special event. This album serves as a heartfelt tribute and a nostalgic look back at a time in history that I wasn’t part of, but longed to be—something I still feel a strong connection to. Initially, my plan was to keep it very much like the previous album, but I soon realized that wasn’t truly what I wanted. It’s different—it’s not solely covers. I had songs that I felt should be shared with the world, which I hope could weave into the lives of listeners, as I’ve played a role in writing them. So, it’s incredibly similar to the last one, yet very distinct – and fingers crossed, I’m on a mission to charm the world!”
Collaborations abound on the album, featuring Robbie’s friends – Lily Allen, Olly Murs, Kelly Clarkson, and the swing legend himself, Michael Buble.
