Yesterday, Peter Andre was “in pieces” after learning that his brother, who is battling cancer, has only two days to live.
At 39, the singer made the decision to postpone the remainder of his UK tour to stay by 54-year-old Andrew’s side.
While preparing for a gig in Cardiff, Peter received the devastating news.
Although he agreed to go ahead with the performance, all upcoming shows until Christmas will be rescheduled for the New Year.
Andrew, who had been improving with treatment, took a turn for the worse last month. His family is traveling from Australia to join him at a London hospital.
A source mentioned: “Peter genuinely cares about his fans and is hesitant to disappoint them, but he is confident they will understand.”
Peter’s spokesperson added: “He is quite upset. This situation has struck him hard.”
“Andrew’s health has significantly declined, and Peter has opted to be with him and his family during this challenging time.
“Fortunately, it has been arranged to move the five remaining dates of the 2012 Up Close & Personal Tour to follow his already scheduled shows in January 2013.”
