A lesser-known French band named Dandies has collaborated on an obscure duet with Pete Doherty.
For what seems to be the first time in his recorded work, Doherty performs in French on the band’s latest single ‘L Comme Liaison’.
Notably, Doherty does not feature in the accompanying video.
On March 17, Dandies shared a photograph with Doherty on their Facebook page as a “souvenir” from their recording experience together.
Hailing from the city of Le Mans, about 200 km east of Paris, the band is virtually unknown and consists of four members.
They draw inspiration from artists such as Kings of Leon, The Kinks, and Françoise Hardy, as stated on their website. Their collaboration with Doherty features on their debut album ‘Illusion Et Imparfait’, which has just launched.
Meanwhile, Doherty is in the process of creating his second solo album, which will succeed 2009’s ‘Grace/Wastelands’.
