Pete Doherty isn’t injecting drugs anymore…

Pete Doherty has asserted that he has ceased injecting drugs.

The former Libertines rocker mentioned that his new girlfriend inspired him to improve his life.

He stated: “I’ve stopped injecting. The only way I can envision myself in a serious relationship is if I’m toning it down a bit. When you’re using all day, it’s tough to have someone else in your life, especially if she’s an English rose. I wouldn’t allow her to touch anything. I simply wouldn’t.”

Additionally, the singer confirmed speculations about him being the father of South African model Lindi Hingston’s baby. Doherty, who has a son, Astile, with Kill City singer Lisa Moorish born in 2003, expressed his displeasure over Hingston selling her story to a newspaper and teased that he would incorporate his daughter’s blood into a painting for his upcoming UK art exhibition, scheduled to take place at London’s Cob Gallery from February 26 to March 4.

“I’m really taken aback that she’s done that (spoken to a newspaper). The little girl was two months premature. I said I’d try to make it for the birth,” he declared, later confirming: “Yeah, she’s mine. We’re using the baby’s blood in one of the pictures.”

Recently, Pete Doherty returned to live performances in London, showcasing two solo acoustic shows at Brixton Jamm last month, along with a gig at Nambucca earlier this month.

During these shows, he performed several new tracks, including ‘Siberian Fur’, a collaboration with his long-time associate Wolfman, and ‘Bird Cage’, which featured the vocals of singer Suzi Martin.
