Noel cried like a baby when City won EPL title

Noel Gallagher has shared his emotional response to Manchester City’s Premier League title victory, stating he “cried like a baby”.

The team clinched the title with two dramatic late goals for a 3-2 win against Queens Park Rangers, narrowly beating their fierce rivals Manchester United. Gallagher, who was watching from a bar in Santiago, Chile, while his brother Liam attended the match, recounted the experience.

He explained the rollercoaster of emotions he felt as his team transitioned from a 1-0 lead to facing a 2-1 deficit, which lasted until the final moments of the match.

He recounted: “Upon arriving in Santiago, a friend opened his bar early for us to watch the game. It began with a sense of tension, which shifted to elation, then returned to a state of anxiety. It felt like QPR held the lead forever, and it was pretty bleak.”

Gallagher described his joy when City striker Edin Dzeko equalized, adding: “Just before we scored, I thought ‘We need this right now; if we’re going to do it, it has to be now’. Then when Dzeko scored, I’m not sure what happened next; there was a lot of swearing.”

When asked how he felt when Sergio Aguero secured the game and the title for City, Gallagher replied: “My friend nearly pulled the TV off the wall. I swore profusely and then I cried like a baby because I had never witnessed anything like that before. It was absolutely mindblowing.”
