What may have taken her by surprise is how the alluring R & B singer managed to steal the spotlight in her striking high-cut white swimsuit.
However, it was clear that the girls appeared to be enjoying themselves while filming the video for The Boys.
The daring 29-year-old presents a whimsical, colorful daydream of a video in which the duo queries in the chorus, ‘why are the boys always spending all their money on love?’
In this playful clip, directed by Colin Tilley, the setting is a vibrant, cartoon-style street, barbershop, and polka-dot dreamland where the two ladies openly showcase their stunning figures.
The video starts with a newspaper headline reading ‘Barber shop burns down after “freak” flame thrower accident.’
As the video progresses, it’s apparent that Nicki is the culprit, as she excitedly wields a flame thrower while donned in a blonde bombshell wig, a studded denim bralet, and a feminine full skirt.
Initially, the outlandish pop star is spotted in a cotton candy-colored bouffant wig and an eye-catching neon bralet, suggestively bouncing on a yoga ball.
In later scenes, the Superbass singer amusingly pretends to have her long pink wig styled by a busty blonde, while wearing a green-and-pink printed bodysuit, lavender tights, and purple pumps.
‘Here it is barbz!!!!!!! #TheBoysVideo,’ Minaj posted for her 14.7 million followers.
Nicki mentioned on Twitter that her favorite moment during the shoot was doing ‘squats on the ball,’ and in between takes, she indulged in a tongue-staining ‘blue Jolly Rancher.’
Commencing on October 21 in Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena and concluding on December 8 at Perth Arena in Australia, the petite rapper will set off on her ‘Apart of Roman Released European Tour.’
