According to the band’s frontman Trent Reznor, Nine Inch Nails has some new material on the way.
When questioned about the possibility of creating more music with Nine Inch Nails, his reply was: “All signs point to yes… Yeah, there will be new music. There are some things in the works.”
He further talked about the potential of performing live again, even after embarking on a 20th anniversary farewell tour with his band in 2009. He mentioned: “Yeah, if it feels right, it’s a possibility. I never said that that wasn’t going to happen, just that it couldn’t go on as it was.”
He went on to add: “Stay tuned. We’ll see what happens here.”
Next week, under the name How To Destroy Angels, Reznor, along with his wife Mariqueen Maandig and composer Atticus Ross, is set to release the ‘An Omen’ EP. He has also promised that a full-length album from the band will arrive early next year.
In recent years, Reznor has focused on creating soundtracks for films, including The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and the Oscar-winning The Social Network.
Last year, he indicated that Nine Inch Nails was “not dead by any means, but all the touring and record writing has been thrown off for a little bit.”
